Homeschool Kickball

We'll be playing kickball every Tuesday at 10am for any homeschool kids and parents that are interested. For the past two weeks we played at Panaewa Park here in Hilo, however, the location may be changed or switched around in the future, so stay tuned for updates!

It's been a lot of fun, and the kids are having a blast! We wanted to do something which would offer kids a chance to play a team sport, but without much structure or pressure to compete, especially for those young kids just starting out. Kickball is perfect for young kids just learning coordination skills, as well as older kids who like to play! Focus is on getting exercise, learning teamwork and having fun.

Next Kickball practice/game is Tuesday February 5th at 10am, location TBA.

Homeschool Potluck!

When: Saturday, February 9, 2013

Time: 11am-4pm, eat at noon

Where:  Pana’ewa Zoo Pavilion

                       What: a celebration of homeschooling!

·      Come meet with other families in our area.

·      Help build a community of families to support, inspire, and encourage one another in our homeschooling journey.

·      Meet new friends and allow opportunities for our keiki to connect.

·      Come ask questions to other home learners, and learn more about the variety of education options in our area.

*Please bring a pupu to share, and whatever else you’ll need for a fun afternoon at the zoo.
